i found the rooms were equipped with everything i needed. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom featured both a bath and shower. the staff truly make this place special, they are always ready to assist. my grandson especially enjoyed the children's pool.

the afternoon tea room felt a little noisy due to its location near reception! it was a minor distraction.

The staff goes above and beyond to. they make a particular effort with families so travel with a young family. it is so rare to find a luxurious hotel in the uk that welcomes kids. the facilities are great. They have a kids pool open all day adjacent to a pool. this allows you to swim and take kids in the spa area for a couple of hours a day!

i previously stayed at this hotel a few years ago and was very impressed. i recently stayed again for one night. the grounds remain as excellent as ever and access is easy. the dining room however was a disaster area! it seems to have been extended to an enormous cavernous space lacking in ambience. the whole experience of both dinner and breakfast was destroyed by the noise and behaviour of many small children

The room design is a welcome upgrade. It has a clean design and it is also very comfortable. The pools, spa, and activities were readily available. The service was top notch, available 24 hours a day. The app chat feature was especially useful and fast.

The international restaurant is very good. It is a little limited for a four or five night stay. A secondary premium dining venue with british local organic food would be ideal.

The bar food presented a truly exceptional chicken burger. Finger sandwiches were out of this world; this was especially true in the lovely library. I especially liked the tuna starter; it was simply sublime.

Staff members were friendly and attentive. The duty manager, Daniele, provides exemplary customer service. I found that the hotel staff redefined guest services. The team helped create special memories; this is important.

Decent Stay with Some Disappointments

I was not thrilled with the dining experience. The burger I ordered in the bar arrived with clearly frozen fries, something I did not expect. These fries were pale and sad. I think for the price I paid for this burger, better quality is needed. my room did not get a turndown service, really disappointing.

The hotel staff was cute and friendly. The pool area had both an indoor pool and an outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast at Café Santé was a highlight. I found it private and the food excellent.

My table was sticky. It was not cleaned when I asked. I chose a Burrata starter, but no bread was offered. The gluten-free menu was not available on Sunday.
